what are the effects of uv rays on epoxy and wood?
if the epoxy i'm using is not uv-ray protected, what could happen?

From The Epoxy Book from System 3:
"After about six months of exposure to intense sunlight they [epoxy resins]
begin to decay. Additional exposure will induce chalking and eventually the
epoxy will disintegrate, losing its mechanical properties."
A couple coats of good varnish will help prevent all that...
