Question:
I got the DDF Matte Finish SPF 30 in the mail, and was so excited, but
I'm having trouble blending it. It seems to not want to blend very well (
leaves white streaks, etc.), and I tried to pat some more under my eyes this
morning because they were still feeling dry (after I had already put some on),
and it started flaking under my eyesf. This stuff is really thick and creamy,
and that's not bad (it doesn't make me extremely shiny like some other
sunscreens), but it seems to be this consistency that is causing the
problem...it flakes if you try to mess with it after you've put it on, and it
won't blend well...any suggestions? I may just have to go back to Cetaphil SPF
15, which is the best I've tried so far (and that includes Paula Begoun's
Non-Greasy Sunscreen SPF 15, which was very greasy on my oily skin). Thanks
for any suggestions! :)
Answer:
I might be wrong but I don't think it was meant to be used as
moisturiser (unless your face is really oily), despite its consistency.
The higher the SPF, the thicker and gunkier the formulation is likely to
be. I'd try a light moisturiser underneath.
