Question:
Just been informed my ex-husband has stage 4 malignant melanoma. He said the
tests to see if it's spread to his lymph nodes will be in on Friday. Anyone
here had experience with this type cancer?
We're still friends and I'd like to know the real facts, not sugar coated,
pie-in-the-sky prognosis.
Answer:
Melanoma can be individualistic so when I was diagnosed in 1993 with
secondaries already in the lymph glands, I decided to use a combination
of conventional and complementary therapies. In particular I worked very
hard to bring my 80 trillion cells into "balance" through nutrition,
stress management, exercise and a range of self help activities.
I would be pleased to send you a copy of my book (Living simply with
Cancer) which was written with the support of Olivia Newton-John in 1996
(All proceeds go to cancer support groups but I'll post a copy to you
with my compliments).
Make sure someone also looks after YOU during this difficult time!
