Question:
Has anyone had Mohs Surgery,
if so what were the results?
My daughter, has been diagnosed with skin cancer,
on her nose and Mohs Surgery was recommended.
Dr. Spencer specializes in Mohs surgery,
an outpatient procedure for removing skin
cancers that has a 99-percent success rate.
The procedure is based on reviewing microscopic
slides during the surgery to determine if all cancerous
cells have been removed. If any malignancy remains,
the procedure is repeated until all the cancer is eliminated.
Answer:
Moh's is fine, it just is NOT as successful as the dermatologists claim.
Skin cancer needs either 1) good surgery or 2) good radiotherapy.
Bad surgery means radiotherapy as well, and bad radiotherapy means surgery
as well.
Personally, I'd go for good radiotherapy every time.
