Question:
My mother has just been advised by her G.P. to see a specialist about
a lump on the bridge of her nose. The G.P. thinks that it may be skin
cancer. The lump is about 1/2" across with an open sore on the top -
it looks just like a big spot or a boil. She has had it for about 6
months.
Naturally, my mum is worried, despite the G.P.'s assurances, and both
my sister and I are concerned. What I really would like to know is...
...IF this turns out to be skin cancer, what is the success rate for
complete cure, and more importantly, would the fact that she had skin
cancer and it was cured, make any further occurances of cancer, skin,
or otherwise, more likely ???
In other words, is it 'in her blood' and more likely to recur than if
she never had it in the first place ?
Answer:
You said your mom had this for six months? Why has she waited so long
to seek medical treatment? Now you come here, ask questions, don't do
any of your own research.
I agree with part of what you're saying. Nobody wants to mess with the
unknown but your mom has waited to long already in seeking medical
treatment for a very potentially dangerous cancer! Part of the problem
is that you don't realize that these things out there DO EXIST! You are
NOT going to find any type of allopathic doctor that will suggest this
to you. It is not FDA approved!! I already wrote in another post how
the FDA goes about "PROVING" the drugs they put out on the market.
Because products are not FDA approved does not mean they don't work. It
means that the products can be bought so cheap and are of a natural
substance, that the pharmaceutical companies don't feel that they can
make enough $$$ from these products. It's not worth their while to
spend millions of $$$ on something that won't bring them back the money
that cost them to research it.
You should get a doctor's opinion first, yes. The type of cancer it is
and how far along it has spread, what type of treatment he recommends.
Don't make decisions however based on scare tactics. Example: If you
don't have this treatment, you have only six months to live. Lots of
people live longer without chemo and radiation for cancer. The doctors
will not suggest these products, simply because they can't!! They are
governed by the rules of the AMA and the FDA. They risk losing their
license if they prescribe or suggest using any other type of alternative methods.
