Can you give any advice and information on Recurrent Melanoma?

My sister (41 years old) has just been diagnosed with recurrent melanoma. She had interferon treatment that ended 3 years ago and it has come back. The situation is very serious. I would really appreciate any advice and information on aggressive treatments.

Try looking in MEDLINE using PubMed. It is at www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov. Find the Advanced Search screen and select MeSH Terms from the Select Field menu. In the box, type: melanoma AND salvage therapy You can also experiment with different terms like: melanoma/dt (drug therapy) melanoma/sc (metastatic melanoma) neoplasm recurrence, local treatment outcome prognosis survival analysis survival rate antineoplastic agents, combined/tu melanoma/rt (radiotherapy) gene therapy biological response modifiers/tu
