Question:
I am interested in information about PABA in sunscreens: why are creams
advertised as "PABA free" now, when once it was considered a good thing?
I'm aware of the current research that shows physical sunblocks are
better - such as titanium dioxide - but does anyone know what's wrong
with PABA?
Answer:
I believe the reason is that some people are allergic to PABA. I still buy my
sunscreen with PABA in it. I especially like the TwinLab PABA & NaPCA
suncreen.
