Question:
I apparently have a melanoma in my left eye. What I have found in the web
is not good. Apparently in most cases the eye is lost.
Is there anyone out there with more information or perhaps personal
experience.
Answer:
Unfortunately, enucleation is part of the usual treatment for choroidal
melanoma. Try your question on the melanoma bulletin board at
http://www.sonic.net/~jpat/getwell/ (It was down for maintenance this AM, but
should be back up soon, if not already).
I think there are also instructions there for subscribing to Mel-L, a mailing
list you may want to try.
