Question:
Summer has finally arrived in upstate NY, and my oily summer skin is back
too. Sure, I'm combo skin the other seasons, but summer is oil time.
Anyway...my usual suncreen isn't cutting it any more. Feels too slippery,
too greasy. I've been using Paula's choice and Basis Face the Day. Is
there a gel sunscreen out there, spf 15 or higher, that dries to a matte
finish? At this desperate hour, price is no object
Of course, it has to have avobenzone (Parsol), titanium dioxide, or zinc
oxide. I love the feel of Lancome's spray body sunscreen, but it lacks any
of those three ingredients. What works for other oily-skinned
alt-fashionites?
Answer:
Yes, there is such a thing because I just bought some today! It's Shade
SPF 30. It's a gel. It's got alcohol in it, though, if that's a problem
for you. Recommended for oily skin. It's got Parsol in it, I believe
all Shade products do. I paid under $9 for a bottle. Not cheap, but I've
heard nothing but fabulous things about it.
