Does deoderant causes skin cancer?

Question:
a good friend of mine , aged 58, had 28 skin cancers removed from under his armpits where a lifetime of deodarant spraying caused the problem (so sez the dr). anyone else ever hear of this?

Answer:
I have heard of possible link between deoderant and cancer (breat cancer as well because of the close proximity). The theory was that it had something to do with the aluminum in the deoderant and that roll-ons were just aas dangerous if they contained aluminum. The aluminum in deoderants is also a possible cause of Ahlzeimers. I don't know if this is true or not or even where I read it.
