Question:
My wife is a pale Nordic woman, and we live in the hot blistering Texas
sun. We are new to the lifestyle and still working out the bugs. I am
looking for a waterproof, rubproof, sweatproof 45 spf or greater sunscreen.
Hypo-allergenic, for face and body, etc. Any recommendations? We tried
the Coppertone 45, and it rubbed right off on our towels.
Answer:
This information may not be of much use to you, as it is based on my
experience in Australia. In this country, the Cancer Foundation has
researched this matter and markets, or sold the rights to market (I'm
not sure which), a brand which was sold through major retailing chains
and which was the cheapest on the market by a large margin, as well as
being at least as effective. It lasts 2 hours in water, is invisible
once applied, and is very effective. My advice, then, is to contact
whatever organisation corresponds to our Cancer Foundation, presuming
you have one, and ask their advice.
